Powerplay is a San Francisco design studio working with in-house design and marketing teams, event producers, and founders — onsite around the Bay Area, and remotely with teams anywhere.
Engagements run from a single deck to an embedded team. Some clients bring us one keynote with three weeks’ notice; others keep us on for years, as Sui and The Standard Model have. We’re small on purpose — you work with the people doing the work.
Presentation & Keynote Design
Keynotes, conference talks, sales decks, and investor pitch decks — built in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote, inside whatever template your brand already runs on. We designed the slides for OpenAI’s speaker at Slush in Helsinki, redesigned presenter decks for Google I/O 2024, and rebuilt keynote content backstage at ServiceNow’s Sales Kickoff while rehearsals ran onstage.
The job is the same every time: make the argument land, and make it look like it came from a company worth betting on.
Event & Conference Graphics
Stage, screen, and environmental design for live and broadcast events — main-stage content, LED and projection graphics, digital signage, wayfinding, and floorplans. We built presenter materials and looping digital signage for the Meta Brand Summit, and have handled event graphics for Google I/O and ServiceNow.
We work onsite when that helps, and backstage when that’s what the day needs.
AI Visual Content
AI-assisted image and content systems built for scale — generated imagery, illustration, and visual libraries that hold one consistent style across hundreds of assets. Useful when you need volume photography can’t cover on the budget or the deadline, and a coherence stock can’t give you. We used advanced Midjourney prompting to build the AI builder personas for Movement Labs.
The judgment stays human. Palette, type, and layout principles are designed by hand and approved before anything gets generated — AI is what carries that decision across a thousand assets instead of ten. It’s why a studio this small can take on agency-scale work: the brand comes out of our heads, and AI is how we get it everywhere.
Brand & Visual Systems
Brand identity, templates, and guidelines your team can run with after we hand them over — logo, palette, typography, iconography, and the slide and document templates that keep it all consistent.
We managed BitGo’s corporate identity, iconography, print and trade-show collateral through an aggressively timed refresh, and built The Standard Model’s brand and investor pitch system from nothing.
Design Production
Slide builds at volume, PowerPoint and Google Slides template rollouts, and last-minute changes at showtime. Plenty of teams already have the design — what they need is someone to produce two hundred slides against it by Thursday.
We built the presentation templates the San Francisco Symphony’s team uses for fundraising and outreach, and ran same-day turnarounds as an embedded design team for Sui.
