EARLY-STAGE
BRAND BUILDING

As a small studio, Powerplay is often tasked with helping teams at the earliest stages of their evolution develop or extend their digital brand — across web, social, print, and presentation.

We worked closely with the marketing team at Movement to build out an array of early-stage needs: pitch decks, a robust Google Slides library and template, a series of generative-AI user personas, a variety of social media assets and templates, technical diagrams and data visualization, and custom iconography — all of it enabling a bolder approach to expressing their brand as they grew.

01
Situation

A minimal brand, underused.

Movement Labs, a company focused on the best and most secure programming language for blockchain builders, struggled to know how best to apply and extend their existing, minimal brand. Powerplay had some ideas, and we dove in working on solutions.

02
Action

An 80-slide system that set them free.

Our goal was to equip their team with a robust presentation deck — multiple slide types and ready-to-use designs that brought in more of the branded elements they'd been unsure how to use. Seeing their brand applied across the 80-slide deck inspired the team to move beyond cookie-cutter slides into a bolder, branded presentation experience.

As Movement grew, their need for a social presence became urgent. We created branded banner templates for Twitter and LinkedIn that their in-house designers — and non-designers — could readily update and maintain. Using advanced Midjourney promptcrafting, we created a consistently styled set of Builder user personas.

DIAGRAMS &
DATA VISUALIZATION

Movement’s hardest design problem wasn’t the brand — it was making the protocol legible to people who don’t write Move.

We turned dense technical documentation into diagrams the team could actually present: flows for Move Dollar and Thala Swap mechanics, and an ecosystem map tracking the projects building on Movement through 2024. The brief was the same each time — make the mechanism readable at a glance without flattening what it actually does.

03
Output & Results

A bolder brand, ready to run.

The 80-slide system became Movement’s default toolkit. Their team could build a branded, on-message deck for investors, partners, or conference talks without starting from a blank slide — and without waiting on outside design. What had been an underused, minimal brand was now confident and fully expressed.

The banner templates and Builder personas gave them a social presence they could run themselves, holding a consistent look across Twitter and LinkedIn as the company scaled. We handed over not just finished assets, but a system the team owned — bolder, more flexible, and ready to grow with them.
